I have established a new website, at private-law-theory.org.  The site's main purpose is as an updater and point of contact for those working in this area. New scholarship and relevant developments will regularly be posted to it. All contributions are welcome.

The premise of the site is that Private Law Theory has now established itself as a distinct discipline in international legal studies, drawing on but not reducible to the various disciplines related to it: Jurisprudence, Legal Theory, Moral Philosophy, Law and Economics, national legal disciplines within obligations and property, comparative law and European Private Law. Studies on individual national legal systems are welcomed where they cast light on the area generally, or illustrate points of general relevance.

I welcome any contributions from interested scholars in the area, and am open to suggestions as to how the site may develop.
